About Rumadani Transfers and Tours South Africa

The original company Rumádili was founded in Pretoria in 2001 by Ruben Koen (who sadly passed away in 2010) as a part-time family business. Business interests also expanded to Cape Town and Danie Maree opened a Rumádili branch in Cape Town in 2003. On the 1st of March 2006 the Cape Town branch became independent and was renamed Rumadáni after its owner, Danie Maree. Rumadáni started with only 4 vehicles. The first vehicle in the new Rumadáni fleet was a 2001 VW Passat 1.8T, followed soon after by a Mercedes Vito and two new Toyota Quantums. Rumadáni branched out to Gauteng on the 1st of June 2009 under the management of Willie Myburgh.

By March 2020, Rumadáni managed to expand its fleet to 43. Due to the restrictive tourism guidelines and tough economic conditions during the Covid-19 pandemic, Rumadáni had to adapt to the pandemic and the challenging consequences it left in its wake. This included decreasing the fleet to 18 vehicles, which allowed Rumadani to sustain its operations during pandemic. After the Covid-19 restrictions were lifted, and the tourism industry in South Africa started growing again, Rumadani managed to gradually expand its fleet, ensuring that they keep up with the demand. As of today, Rumadáni’s fleet consists of 36 vehicles. Rumadáni Transfers and Tours, operating from Cape Town and Gauteng, caters for a wide variety of transportation needs, including airport transfers, self-drive rentals of minibuses and a minibus with a driver or a driver-guide.
